Redder Than Yesterday: Manaza

The Sunday cartoons are reader than yesterday
and the wind threw
the gap in the window flew
them off the table, and they rock
paper
scissors
gently to the floor. You rock
too. The floor holds your hips in his wide
carpeted hands: did you know there's a word
in Spanish for a big hand, a mitt, a paw?
Manaza. True story.

In response to this morning porch entry.

Nice. I like the punnage! Too few poets have the guts to do this sort of thing.
